An annual clean and service for your commercial extractor fan is essential. It ensures good air flow, minimizes fire risk and prolongs the life length of the fan itself.

Our commercial fan clean and service includes the following:

  • Checking electrical condition of motor
  • Test capacitor and replace if necessary
  • Complete RPM check
  • Test speed controller and check compatibility
  • Full fan clean and refit

It is a legal requirement for all commercial kitchens to clean and service their fan at least once a year and provide certification of this for their buildings insurance. Frequency of fan cleaning depends on level of usage (see table below)

Replacement Fan for Textile Factory, Scunthorpe

Replacement 3 phase fan installation at a busy Scunthorpe textile factory. The existing fan had been bespoke made to fit the large box ductwork system in place. Our engineers attended site to first source a modern replacement. Turn around time was around a week from first appointment to installation of new fan and invertor.

The system serves a large island canopy in the factory’s canteen and previous fan had broken down due to its age.

A recent fan replacement. Our client in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire contacted us as their existing Flakt Woods extractor fan was no longer working. Our client was also not happy with the current fan, installed by a previous owner, as it was too powerful for his kitchens needs.

We sourced a fan replacement of the same size that was still compatible with his system. We were able to come out and install this within a couple of days. A roof hood vent was also required as rain was getting in to the system. The dome shape of the new hood pictured prevents rain being able to get in to the system whilst also providing adequate air flow.

This busy pub/restaurant just outside of Wetherby, West Yorkshire gave us a call as their commercial flakt woods extractor fan had become very noisy and wasn’t operating to its full potential. As the existing fan was old, the best option was a replacement fan. The extractor fan was fitted externally, so, we came out to complete a site survey.
