Replacement 3 phase fan installation at a busy Scunthorpe textile factory. The existing fan had been bespoke made to fit the large box ductwork system in place. Our engineers attended site to first source a modern replacement. Turn around time was around a week from first appointment to installation of new fan and invertor.

The system serves a large island canopy in the factory’s canteen and previous fan had broken down due to its age.

This busy pub/restaurant just outside of Wetherby, West Yorkshire gave us a call as their commercial flakt woods extractor fan had become very noisy and wasn’t operating to its full potential. As the existing fan was old, the best option was a replacement fan. The extractor fan was fitted externally, so, we came out to complete a site survey.

There are a number of ways to detect whether an extractor fan is in need of an upgrade or replacement. These are:

  • The fan may have become noisier than usual.
  • The fan may start to rattle.
  • It may stop and start.
  • It may run slower than usual.
  • It may not be operating at the usual level of extraction.
  • If you have added to your cooking equipment since your old system was installed, you may need to also upgrade your fan to cope.
